automotive portraits
Studios work tirelessly to bring a design brief to life. Commercials spend millions of dollars over 30 seconds turning those curves and creases into an emotion. Automotive journalists are allotted two sentences to describe said styling. Sometimes, more time is needed to appreciate how rich and varied the automotive landscape is.- nyc auto show 1600 day one-101

nyc by bike
During the spring of 2012 I sought to capture and highlight the best of what riding my bicycle in NYC looks like and means to me. This, then, is my love letter to NYC.- nyc_bike_project_1600-125

six sunsets
Spring 2012. We're beset with a week of 75 degree weather in NYC. And what do you equate warm weather with? For me, it's colorful sunsets. So I issued myself a photo challenge - to shoot one sunset each night during the workweek, Monday through Friday. The catch? One camera (my phone), one lens, one focal length (how much zoom), one location and the same post-processing for each photo. The goal? Within a rigid set of guidelines, to create five unique photos.
